The "SBGV239," boasting high precision with an annual deviation of ±10 seconds, is a model that utilizes a top-of-the-line aged quartz oscillator and features high functionality unique to Grand Seiko, including temperature compensation and instantaneous date change functions.
To achieve high visibility comparable to mechanical watches designed for readability, it is equipped with a "twin-pulse control motor" to move the heavy, thick hands. Although not visible to the naked eye, the hands move twice per second, achieving both high torque and energy efficiency.

The complex 9F quartz movement is assembled entirely by hand. The exterior (case) of this model makes extensive use of flat surfaces with a distortion-free mirror finish achieved through Zaratsu polishing, resulting in a beautifully refined shine.
