GRAN SASSO was founded in 1952 in the small village of Sant'Egidio alla Vibrata. The company name is derived from the mountain range that rises over this lowland area, which is known for its thriving industry and hardworking people. Today, it has grown into one of Europe's leading knitters, undertaking production for numerous prestigious fashion houses. In 2002, it built its headquarters on a 36,000 square meter site, which includes factories, offices, and showrooms, making it a leading Italian knitwear manufacturer in both name and reputation. In addition to its headquarters factory, it also owns a specialized factory for cotton products and a dyeing factory equipped with an innovative water purification facility, and is committed to carrying out all processes within Italy.
