Did you know that an event called "Tweed Run Tokyo 2016" took place in Tokyo on Sunday, the 23rd?
Originating in London, England, the home of tweed, this event involves cycling through the streets of Tokyo dressed in your own unique tweed fashion. It proposes cycling etiquette and presents tweed as an integral part of the fashion scene.
The weather was lovely, and it looked very pleasant to see so many people running together, feeling the breeze!

Now, at THE GALLERY by CHALIE VICE, until November 1st (Tuesday), we are featuring maintenance items centered around road bikes, under the theme "Experiencing Nature with a Road Bike."

Among the road bikes on display in this gallery, we'd like to introduce Boardman, a British manufacturer, in connection with the "Tweed Run." Apparently, the UK is currently putting a lot of effort into the bicycle industry nationwide.

Iwashima said about this bicycle, "Chris Boardman of England, a world champion, Olympic gold medalist, and the greatest time trial specialist of all time*."
The Boardman, named after him, is a model designed for speed. It's a road bike that embodies the spirit gained from his experience, and we want you to enjoy a world of speed unlike that of cars or other vehicles," he introduced it to us.
*A time trial specialist is a rider who excels at riding solo on flat terrain.


In addition to these, Mr. Iwashima kindly agreed to CHALIE's special request and selected a variety of road bikes for us, so please be sure to check them out.

Keita Iwashima, who has participated in numerous top races in Japan and remains a top racer today, is also the owner of a sports bike maintenance shop that focuses on enhancing the "soft" aspects of cycling, such as how to enjoy cycling and racing, as well as how to maintain a bicycle.
At this event, we will hear stories that only top racers can share, including how to ride and handle road bikes, as well as the wonderful aspects of a lifestyle that incorporates road cycling.
