il micio is a brand specializing in completely bespoke shoes and leather goods, and its name means "kitten" in Italian. Mr. Fukaya, who deeply loves cats, chose this name to express his desire to pursue his own shoemaking with a free spirit, without pandering to anyone, just like those noble creatures. Mr. Fukaya's attention to detail is evident in every aspect, from the finishing of the edges to the design. In addition to leather materials that can be enjoyed as they age, such as goat and cowhide, one of the brand's distinctive features is the use of PVC. Mr. Fukaya's playful spirit is evident in the marble pattern depicting kittens, which is the brand's motif.
