Isetan's Top 6 Springtime Must-Have Outerwear & Blousons for April-May
1. BARACUTA "G9"
British-made masterpiece Harrington “Masterpiece”
Kucchi: BARACUTA 's "G9" is synonymous with the Harrington jacket. The "Fraser tartan check" lining is used exclusively by this brand, so you can tell it's a "Baracuta" just by looking at this check. It's a model that originated from golf wear in the 1940s, and its timeless details such as ribbed cuffs, dog-ear collar, pockets that prevent golf balls from falling out, and umbrella yoke on the back are its charm.
Inaba: Made in the UK, the material is a cotton and polyester blend, making it strong and functional, and therefore a recommended material for outerwear. It has a relatively tight fit, but you can also try going up one size to give it a raglan drape. It is loved by a wide range of generations, and its popularity is expanding among younger customers.
Kucchi : Denim and sneakers are a sure bet. In spring, I also recommend dressing it up with slacks and a bright knit sweater. It's also fun to change the look by going up a size.
2. SUNNINO Blouson: Refined "sporty luxury" from the Naples area.
Kucchi: SUNNINO an Italian brand making its debut at Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building . It's a factory brand located near Naples that handles outerwear for top fashion houses and is also renowned for its leather and cashmere. This season Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building will be offering two styles: a hooded jacket (navy) and a stand-collar jacket (stone), both made with nylon from the Italian company "OLMETEX." The design is slightly tight and slightly short, creating a "sporty luxury" look, and the details and accessories are original. It's slightly water-repellent and lightweight yet very practical.
Inaba: The stand collar is made of polyester, but the ribbed cuffs add a touch of elegance, making it a great match for wool trousers. Perfect for those seeking a sporty yet refined look. Hooded jackets are also gaining popularity right now, so I think you can wear this in a wide range of situations depending on your mood.
Kucchi: It has a sporty look, so it would look great paired with a relaxed, casual style like sneakers.
3. CARUSO Overshirt: A tailor's answer. A stylish outer garment made of "black linen".
Kucchi: Caruso, based in Parma, Italy, is a factory brand originating from one of the world's leading tailoring factories. In recent years, they have also skillfully developed modern blousons and oversized fits. This is an "overshirt" made of 100% linen, and it's deliberately black. The wrinkles and texture unique to linen create a sophisticated mood.
Inaba: Black is becoming a key color these days, so I'd like you to incorporate it. It has a relaxed silhouette with slightly dropped shoulders, and the collar is positioned a little lower, so it's designed to look great even when you add a scarf.
Inaba: It's lightweight and easy to throw on without feeling too formal. I recommend pairing it with denim for a "not-too-dressy" style. It also goes well with striped tops and cut-and-sew tops.
4. LUTAYS "AEROSPOSTALE"
French "aristocratic" mood. The small collar defines the French aesthetic.
Kucchi: LUTAYS is a French brand created by Belgian Jean-Baptiste Rosseau. He has a deep understanding of French culture and tailoring, and the brand incorporates iconic elements of French culture into modern times. This "AEROSPOSTALE" is inspired by the uniform of the French airline "Compagnie générale aéropostale". The silhouette, which is narrow at the shoulders and flares slightly towards the hem, creates an exquisite "aristocratic mood".
Inaba: As Mr. Jean says, the shape and opening of the collar determine the entire look, so this is the most important point. The large pockets are designed with the concept of being able to go out wearing just the jacket. The chocolate brown hopsack material has a beautiful color, and it is available in limited quantities at Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building .
Inaba : A neat balance that isn't oversized. It's good to put together a clean look and add some airiness with wide-leg pants.
5. SERAPHIN Goat Suede Shirt Jacket: "So light you barely feel like you're wearing anything." The French King of Leather.
Kucchi: SERAPHIN is a prestigious French leather factory. They are top-notch, having handled production for a certain luxury brand, and their own label is also of the highest quality. This season, they are offering a shirt-style jacket. The goat suede is finely textured and soft, and is so light you'll barely notice you're wearing it.
Inaba: Leather jackets aren't just popular in the blouson style anymore; outerwear is also gaining popularity, so we bought this model as it's perfect for spring. The inside is beautifully finished with a single layer of fabric, and silk is used in the sleeve lining to prevent slipping and color transfer. It has a minimalist design with no pockets. The length is "not too short" for an elegant look.
Kucchi: If you're going to pair it with bold "icy colors," pick up the color of the buttons, and start with black or gray pants. For the innerwear, blue tones such as royal blue or neutral gray would go well together.
6. Belvest "Bal Collar Coat (Solaro)"
The allure of iridescent glass. A spring dress lightly adorned with solaro fabric.
Kucchi: Lastly, we have a balmacaan coat from Belvest , a long-established factory brand from Padua in northern Italy. Solaro, which shimmers with iridescent colors due to the difference in color between the warp and weft threads, is a fabric that looks great in strong light and is perfect for summer. With its minimalist design that brings out the quality of the material and its drape, it is recommended for spring and autumn.
Inaba: Originally known for its suits and jackets, this brand has a reputation for its skillful use of interlining and pattern design. It features a lightweight raglan sleeve construction with virtually no shoulder pads. Interlining and other materials are kept to a minimum to create a soft drape. Its characteristic feature is the coexistence of techniques for creating a three-dimensional form and a light tailoring that brings out the best in the material.
Inaba: When you walk, the orange color peeking out from the inside of the hem sways elegantly, giving it a unique charm that only Solaro can offer. It looks great with a tie, but I also like to casually throw it on over a knit and jeans. I recommend it as a piece that stands out from the crowd.
This lineup is only available at Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building . Check out the items you're interested in in-store or online.
