However, considering factors such as the way the shoe is made and how the leather will break in over time, we often recommend the "just right size" (a size that feels a little tight) . Of course, the best choice depends on individual preferences for fit, so the correct size will vary from person to person. In particular, with loafers, the area that holds the foot is smaller than with lace-up shoes, so there is a possibility that the shoe may feel slightly loose.

It's best to choose a size that's comfortable and suits your personal preferences.

A2. In the case of JM WESTON , the sizing and other markings differ from those of the UK, USA, and Italy.

Using a specialized measuring device, we measure the actual length from heel to toe, and then perform fitting based on that value.
However, since the characteristics vary greatly depending on the model and last, most models will not fit the size indicated by the measurements. For example, someone who normally wears a UK size 6.5 might find that a 5.5D is a perfect fit for the "#180 Signature Loafer," while a 5.5E or 6D might be more appropriate for the "#641 Golf."

Therefore, while the size of your existing shoes is one guideline, you'll likely find the perfect pair if you prioritize the comfort of the shoes you're currently wearing.

A3. If I had to give an estimate, I'd say that wearing them for a few hours once a week for about two months should make them comfortable.

To be honest, it's very difficult to quantify this precisely because there's a lot of individual variation and the definition of "fitting in" differs from person to person. Of course, factors such as the size you choose, the thickness of the socks, your build, and the distance you walk all play a role, so please consider this as a rough guideline.

Q4. What repair services are available? What are the prices and turnaround times?

A4. We offer a range of services including heel part replacement, toe reinforcement, lining leather patching, full sole replacement, and sock liner replacement. (Several other options are also available.)
*Toe steel can only be attached if the shoes are unused. Half rubber soles are not available.

• Toe reinforcement: 8,250 yen • Heel replacement: from 8,250 yen • Full sole replacement: from 33,000 yen (Goodyear welt from 37,400 yen)
*Delivery time: Usually 1.5 to 3 months. This may vary depending on the menu.
* We generally cannot accept repairs involving non-genuine parts.

Q5. What sizes are available?

A5. For our standard models, men's sizes start from approximately 23-23.5cm, and various widths are available for selection. (Widths: "#180 Signature Loafers" = A-F, "#641 Golf" = B-E, etc.)

Furthermore, some men find the smallest men's size too loose, and often purchase the women's version of the same model (using a different shoe last), which is narrower than the men's version, as it fits their feet better.

Regarding the largest size, we currently have approximately 29cm available in stock at our domestic stores. For other models, stock availability varies, so please contact us again for further information.

Q6. Should I get toe steel (toe reinforcement)?

A6. It's a matter of personal preference, but I don't think it's a problem if you don't add it.

While installation is certainly possible, please note that it may cause some slippage or produce a distinctive noise when walking. *Toe steel can only be installed when the toe is unused.

There will be some wear initially, but as the sole becomes more flexible, the wear usually slows down, and even after wear starts to appear, it can be reinforced with leather or rubber.
