Following the success of last year's event, "VISVIM HARMONIOUS PROCESS," an exhibition and sales event exploring the manufacturing process of visvim, will be held again on September 9th. From Wednesday, August 2nd to Tuesday, September 15th, at The Stage on the 1st floor Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building We will be holding it again this year.

This exhibition will showcase products dyed using various natural dyes, including mud dyeing, indigo dyeing, and plant dyeing, which features a wide range of colors.
In addition to the brightly colored shoes, pants, and apparel featuring natural dyes that were available for pre-sale, items from the Fall/Winter 2026 collection, which started in August, will also be available at the same time.

Additionally, a booklet created specifically for this exhibition, titled "Addendum to the Dissertation Natural-Dyeing," will be distributed at the venue.

Compared to chemical dyes, natural dyes produce an uneven finish, resulting in subtle variations in color. Each unique shade possesses a deep, rich character that cannot be replicated by chemical dyes.

Of course, the craftsmen aren't intentionally trying to create an uneven finish; rather, they strive to minimize inconsistencies. Nevertheless, the slight variations that naturally arise during the process, through which human hands are involved, are precisely what they seek. In such collaborative processes, new discoveries can emerge that even the long-serving craftsmen hadn't noticed before.

For example, by suggesting that we try making modern sneakers using natural dyes, we can create new products with unprecedented ideas and perspectives. It's a challenging endeavor, but I want to take on the challenge of creating modern products that, like things from past eras, will become even more appealing as time passes.

Introducing the Indigo Camping Trailer lineup, launching September 9th (Wednesday) *Updated August 31st

Indigo Camping Trailer is an experimental brand that incorporates many processing techniques and fabrics that give each product a unique look, such as natural dyeing processes like indigo dyeing and mud dyeing, as well as antique fabrics, vintage bandanas, and African indigo fabrics.

In an era where mass production of uniform items has become deeply ingrained in manufacturing, how can we create products that possess the warmth and character that only handcrafted items can offer?

Products using natural dyes that cannot be 100% controlled, such as the "genuine indigo dyeing" that is representative of Indigo Camping Trailer and the traditional "mud dyeing" technique of Amami Oshima, were born from such trial and error. Indigo Camping Trailer is a concept brand of Visvim that experimentally creates warm products that reflect the personality of the maker.

This is a rare opportunity to see products from this brand, which are usually only available at a limited number of stores, outside of their directly managed stores. Please come and visit us.
