Moritz Grossmann, the watchmaker who continues to strive for a simple yet perfect style.
Moritz Grossmann made a name for himself in Glashütte, a city considered the mecca of the German watchmaking industry, through the establishment of a watchmaking school and the publication of numerous theories on watchmaking.
Although the tradition died out at the end of the 19th century, it was revived in 2008 by Christine Hutter, who inherited his name. Currently, using Grossman's surviving works as inspiration, the brand produces pieces that promise extremely high reliability and durability, using the "hands" of skilled craftsmen, who still employ the finest tools available today.

The image evoked by Moritz Grossmann's watches, which are modeled after pocket watches from Glashütte, is one of exquisite craftsmanship and exceptional robustness.
In line with the creator's intention to create a watch that can be used and maintained for generations to come, German silver, a hard and difficult material to process, is used for the movement. The movement structure also employs a pillar structure that allows for easy viewing of the internal components from the side, and the movement is assembled twice—once before and once after finishing—to pursue both precision and beauty.

Another noteworthy feature is the finish of the needle. The needles, which are the only ones manufactured in-house in Glashütte, are not only sharpened and polished to an extremely fine point, but they also have a structure in which a stainless steel ring is fitted at the base so that even if the base of the needle loosens when it is attached or removed during maintenance, it can be repaired rather than replaced.
Even by looking at the craftsmanship of a single needle, you can see their approach to manufacturing.
"Atum Enamel" 4,752,000 yen
18K white gold case: 42mm diameter, approximately 46-hour power reserve, 3 ATM water resistance, manual winding, limited edition of 25 pieces worldwide.
The "Atum" collection is inspired by the name of the creator god who brought himself forth from nothing. While it is a flagship model of the brand, the dial of this particular model is crafted in homage to traditional craftsmanship. The special edition dial, with only the 12 o'clock index colored blue, boasts a lustrous shine unique to white enamel, and the brown-violet hands stand out beautifully against it.
"Corner Stone" 3,780,000 yen
18K white gold case: 46.6mm (height) x 29.5mm (width), approximately 72-hour power reserve, 3 ATM water resistance, manual winding.
The new "Corner Stone" model features the brand's first rectangular case, and the "cal.103" movement it houses was newly developed to match the case.
Thanks to the new rectangular movement, the mainspring barrel has been enlarged to the maximum possible size, extending the power reserve to approximately 72 hours compared to the previous model. The case design with side steps also gives it a slimmer appearance.
