For this adult field trip, we heard from Fukushima, the bag and luggage buyer at Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building , that the new Daniel & Bob series is a hot item, so we came to the basement floor of Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building to check out its usability and design.

GUIDE crew members Tsuchiya, Fushinuki, and Tashiro try on and review these practical and sophisticated items that are perfect for everyday use and travel. This lineup is packed with thoughtful details that you won't want to miss!

DaniBob is a must-see – expectations are high for the new series.

Tashiro, who hails from Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building confidently states, "There isn't a single person from Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building who hasn't gone through the Daniel & Bob era," highlighting the popularity of Daniel & Bob, affectionately known as "DaniBob." The supple leather texture, sophisticated appearance, and the way the leather develops character with use are the reasons for its popularity. Now, Daniel & Bob, known for its thoughtful craftsmanship, has released a new series, "Moose Light." This time, three members of the crew will pick up their favorites and experience its charm firsthand.

Tsuchiya: "Lightweight, slouchy, and with a sophisticated urban look. —Enjoy minimalism with a tote bag and one handle."

The first item Fukushima picked up was the "ALEX" vertical tote bag from the Moose Light series.

"The soft form is achieved because it's made from a single piece of leather, and it looks great even when you don't put anything in it. The bottom is double-layered, so it's less likely to lose its shape even when you put heavy items like a laptop in it. It's a simple yet highly practical model," says Fukushima.


This tote bag, which allows you to create a simple and urban, relaxed look by keeping only the essentials, is also appealing because of its unisex color variations, including black, white, and olive.

"This vibe is urban and sophisticated," Tsuchiya agreed.

Next up was the "ACHILLE" tote bag with a single handle.

"A one-handle bag that instantly elevates your style just by holding it with one hand is in line with current trends. It's designed to be held with either hand, is lightweight, and has ample storage capacity. It's also recommended as a secondary bag," says Fukushima.

This simple yet elegant piece, highlighting the texture of the leather and its beautiful lines, is versatile enough for both formal and casual occasions.

"It's lightweight yet holds a lot. The relaxed feel is great, and it has a sophisticated look. Just holding it gives it a certain vibe," said Tsuchiya, clearly very satisfied.

Fushinuki: "Looks great whether you wear it over your shoulder or carry it by hand. —The freedom of style expands with a shoulder bag and drawstring bag."

Fukushima recommended the "LINDO" shoulder bag from the new "Moose Light" series for Fall/Winter 2025, which doesn't usually involve carrying much luggage.

"By deliberately omitting the gusset, the bag drapes naturally when you put things inside. The key is that it takes advantage of the leather's texture while creating a silhouette that conforms to the body," says Fukushima.


The adjustable length allows you to carry it as a crossbody bag, shoulder bag, or handbag, and the stitching placement has also been carefully considered. The design gives it a clean and streamlined look.

"Just changing the length completely changes the impression. It's great that you can use it according to your clothes and mood," said Funeki, agreeing with the sentiment.


Next up was a drawstring bag with a belt on one side. "By using a single-sided drawstring, you don't have to worry about how to handle the excess cord, and it looks smart. It also looks natural when worn over the wrist, so you can carry it like an accessory," says Fukushima.


With its construction that eliminates external stitching, it boasts a wonderfully soft and supple feel. Available in light colors such as white and off-white, it's suitable for both men and women.
"It's lightweight and easy to use, and perfect for strolling around towns while traveling. I want to collect them in different colors," Fushinuki said with a smile.

Tashiro: "Whether you carry it on your back or over your shoulder, it looks great. —The depth of travel and everyday life revealed through a backpack."

To Tashiro, who tends to carry a lot of things, Fukushima suggested the "LINO" backpack-style bag.

"By positioning the opening diagonally, we've made it easy to put things in and take them out while taking advantage of the soft drape of the leather. The result is a silhouette that has a nice, relaxed 'drape' that's different from stiff leather," says Fukushima.


Lightweight, with a double-layered bottom and large exterior pockets for ample storage. The limited-edition "denim" color pairs well with navy and gray clothing.

"The leather is soft, so it conforms to my body nicely. I also like that the light navy color is easy to match with other clothes," said Tashiro.

Furthermore, Fukushima introduced the denim color as a variation of the one-handle "ACHILLE" and shoulder bag "LINDO" that were introduced in the first half of the program. "The calm blue 'denim color' is my top recommendation. When paired with light-colored clothes, it really brings out a refreshing look," said Fukushima.
