Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building , B1F Men's Shoes , has launched "ISETAN VINTAGE PROJECT," a shoe buying service by "SAFARI," a company that operates six specialized stores in Koenji offering vintage dress shoes and other items. The service will be held regularly twice a month, on the second Saturday and fourth Wednesday of each month.

This is the first initiative of its kind among department stores in Japan. The buyback program targets men's leather shoes.

Safari in Koenji is a popular shop specializing in high-end leather shoes such as JOHN LOBB ALDEN JM WESTON , as well as classic and select dress clothing. It boasts a wide selection of imported goods that surpasses that of most select shops, and is known for its rich variety and high quality.

"Safari" has been selling vintage shoes for a limited time for two consecutive years at the " ISETAN Shoe Fair 2019 " and " ISETAN Shoe Fair 2020 ," events based on the concept of a "shoe theme park." In response to customer requests for a permanent offering, vintage shoes are now available at Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building B1F Men's Shoes, starting this February.

Furthermore, in response to requests such as, "In addition to buying vintage shoes, is it possible to sell them as well?", the event was upgraded to a regular monthly purchase event held twice a month, starting July 10, 2021. The "Isetan Vintage Project" was launched with the theme of "passing on customers' good shoes to the next generation."
