CZAPEK
Čapek

François Czapek, a Polish watchmaker born in Czechoslovakia, opened his own workshop in Geneva in 1832 after going into exile, and in 1839 formed a partnership with his compatriot Antoine Norbert de Patek. After the contract ended in 1845, he established the Czapek Watch Company and achieved great success. He eventually became the personal watchmaker to Napoleon III and opened a boutique in Place Vendôme in Paris, but suddenly disappeared in 1869.

The current Czapek brand was revived in 2015 with models inspired by Czapek's earlier works from the 1850s. The first collection, named "Quai de Berg," features a beautiful enamel dial and a movement with a power reserve of approximately seven days.
In 2017, the brand released its second collection, featuring a suspended tourbillon and a second time zone function. Then, in 2018, it unveiled its first-ever chronograph model, steadily expanding its range as a brand.

"Ke de Berg No. 33S" 4,298,400 yen
18K rose gold case: 38.5mm diameter, approximately 168-hour power reserve, 3 ATM water resistance, manual winding.

This model features the same movement (32mm size) as the 42mm diameter model, but achieves a case size of 38.5mm. It faithfully inherits Czapek's signature features, such as the very thin and delicate "fleur-de-lis" style hands made of solid gold and the enamel dial.
The approximately 7-day power reserve winding mechanism, which can usually feel heavy, is smooth and comfortable to use, and combined with its compact case size, it's a very user-friendly timepiece.
