URBAN JURGENSEN
Urban Jürgensen

Urban Jürgensen inherited his father's ambition, working at prestigious workshops such as Breguet in Paris and Arnold in England, before becoming the person who most significantly boosted the Jürgensen brand.
He was appointed as the royal watchmaker to King Frederick VI of Denmark and was entrusted with the important task of producing marine chronometers for the Danish Navy, demonstrating that his skills were highly regarded during his time.

He raised his two sons to become watchmakers as well, carrying on the family tradition. However, after the death of the family's last watchmaker, Jacques Alfred Jürgensen, the Jürgensen brand temporarily disappeared from the world.
In 1978, watchmaker Peter Baumberger acquired the company, bringing it back into the spotlight and continuing to produce high-quality collections.
To maintain its high quality, production is extremely limited, with less than 100 bottles produced annually. Currently, a Danish group led by Søren Peterson continues to carry on this great legacy and tradition in a Swiss workshop.

Stainless steel case: 41mm diameter, 12 ATM water resistance, automatic movement

This is the brand's first sports watch. It features a newly developed Cal.P5 movement, which adds a winding mechanism to the Swiss lever escapement Cal.P4, and is housed in a stainless steel case. The case and bracelet are made of high-quality medical-grade stainless steel. While it has a substantial proportion, it's surprisingly comfortable to wear. The brand's signature delicate finishing of the hands and dial is also present.
