Laurent Ferrier, after whom the brand is named, was born in Geneva, Switzerland in 1946. After graduating from the Geneva Watchmaking School in 1968, he worked for a luxury watch brand, where he was involved in movement design and other related tasks.
In 2008, after leaving the company where he had worked for 37 years, he co-founded Laurent Ferrier with his son, a movement engineer. Their first collection, unveiled at Baselworld in 2010, immediately garnered attention from watch enthusiasts and the watch industry worldwide.

"Gallet Classic Tourbillon Double Spiral" ¥25,704,000
18K Yellow Gold Case: 39mm diameter, approximately 80-hour power reserve, 3 ATM water resistance, manual winding.

This was the first timepiece released by Laurent Ferrier after he founded his company. At first glance, it appears to be a simple dress watch, but a tourbillon with two hairsprings can be seen from the back. The hand-polished bridges and the classic leaf spring-type clasps demonstrate a pursuit of beauty and operability to the extreme, making it a must-see.
