Born in Aichi Prefecture in 1980. After working as a buyer for a major select shop from 2001, he launched Fil Melange in 2007. In 2011, he became independent and worked as a freelance designer, handling design and direction for various brands, before starting his own brand SUN/kakke/サンカッケー in 2012. The theme of the walk is "Creating a mixed outfit that Ozaki wants to wear right now."

In the apparel industry, being called a "pervert" is a compliment, but Mr. Ozaki is truly a pervert among perverts. He effortlessly wears everything from dresses to casual wear, from classic to high fashion to streetwear, and he's a highly curious expert who even boldly tries his hand at bespoke tailoring.

Our autumn stroll through the Isetan Shinjuku Store, Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building will take us in search of a unique, unconventional mixed-style outfit from Ozaki, a style that defies conventional notions. First, how does the newly renovated 7th floor—the authentic wear section—appear to Ozaki's eye...?

Talking about fresh and stylish ways to wear American casual fashion.

The 7th floor has been completely renovated and looks brand new. The layout and merchandise have changed, giving it a more refined feel. While established American traditional brands like POLO RALPH LAUREN and Brooks Brothers are prominently featured, they also have a good selection of unique Ortega fabrics and classic Levi's , making it a store where you can really "see how to put together an outfit."

My fashion style is centered around "American casual." I always choose it, and I often wear Brooks Brothers . However, simply imitating "how Americans used to dress" won't give me a fresh, modern feel.
For example, combining authentic items with designer brands changes how they look, and I'm always thinking about "how to combine brands that would never normally be paired together" (laughs).


I own so many Ortega vests, it's almost ridiculous. Adding a vest to my wardrobe in the fall is a staple for me, and whenever I find an Ortega Indian vest, I always buy it (laughs).
When I first joined the select shop, I admired the Anatomica style and talked about it with my senior colleagues, and I learned that it was a style proposed by a select shop called Hemisphere. It was a standard style at select shops at the time, but before I knew it, it had become ingrained in me.
