Celebrating 30 years of passion and style for automobiles

Chopard became an official partner and timekeeper of the prestigious Mille Miglia Classic Car Rally in 1988. This long-standing connection with the world of classic racing stems from the passion of Chopard's co-president, Karl-Friedrich Scheufele, who is also an avid classic car driver. For the past 30 years, Chopard has released limited-edition models inspired by legendary racing cars for this race every year.
And this year, to commemorate the 30th anniversary, the elegant new "Mille Miglia 2018 Race Edition" from Italy has been released.

Stainless steel case: 42mm diameter, chronograph, approximately 42-hour power reserve, COSC certified chronometer, 5 ATM water resistance, automatic winding.

Inspired by classic dashboards, this timepiece features a charcoal gray dial with a corked finish, evoking the racing cars of yesteryear from 1927 to 1940. The 42mm chronograph has a tachymeter scale around its outer edge for tracking race time, the knurled crown resembles an oil tank stopper, and the push buttons mimic engine pistons.
Furthermore, the strap's outer surface uses perforated leather with red stitching reminiscent of vintage racing car bucket seats, while the lining is modeled after the pattern of 1960s Dunlop tires.
As befits a time rally competition that tests the accuracy of travel time, the brand's commitment to precision is evident in its COSC (Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute) certification.
