What we want you to experience at Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building , and requests for Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building
Cafe Lizig on the 8th floor is a cafe that I find very convenient. I use it for business meetings, to stop by for a quick espresso or sparkling wine, or to drop in when I'm undecided about what to buy and then, in a burst of enthusiasm, decide, "Okay, I'll buy it!" (laughs). Today, I'm sitting in my usual seat, enjoying my usual sparkling wine...

What struck me when I saw a floor dedicated to businessmen, like the 5th floor Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building was the importance of considering "how you're perceived from overseas" when thinking about your own style. That's because foreigners judge people primarily by their appearance. I think businessmen in particular should consider their attire and create their style according to international standards. Of course, there are people who wear proper suits, but it would be good to be a little more stoic and strict. I think the trend of dress codes disappearing is strange.
Recently, we've also been hearing comments like, "Young people have stopped buying clothes," or "They don't know how to dress stylishly." In the past, families and society taught young people the meaning of clothing, but now there are no such places. The meaning and significance of wearing clothes, the practice of dressing up, and the joy of dressing up are born from intergenerational exchange, and Salon de Shimaji is precisely a place for such social learning. I hope that Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building will also play a role as a social hub where older and younger people can interact through fashion.

I've recently come to the 5th floor of the main building because I really like the interior design there, and I often find "discoveries" on that floor. When I see or pick up something unexpected, it leads to new insights. I think it would be fun if Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building also had something a little different on each floor.
I hope that Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building will become a "fun salon" where various people can gather and interact, centered around fashion, and that it will play a role in raising the standards of men.
