Cedric Casanova's Olive Oil

Cedric Casanova
Born in Paris, France, to an Italian father from Sicily and a French mother, he is the child of immigrants. He currently owns La Tête d'Ens Réolives (meaning "Head completely immersed in olives"), a specialty shop for Sicilian olive oil and Sicilian ingredients. In 2016, he opened Cédric Casanova in Omotesando.
Cedric Casanova is completely obsessed with Sicilian olive oil. It might sound a little exaggerated, but when you see the logo for Cedric Casanova's shop in Omotesando, which expresses his passion, you gradually begin to understand Cedric's sincerity (and sense of humor). Before starting this job, he apparently toured the world as a tightrope walker with Cirque du Soleil.
The catalyst for his current endeavors was a visit to his father's hometown, Sicily. Cedric was shocked to learn that the unique olives from small farms were being bought up in bulk and mixed into olive oil produced by large manufacturers. Determined to stop the trend of standardizing the more than 500 varieties of Italian olives, he decided to take action, believing that "if olive oil, with its individuality depending on the farm and variety, could reach famous chefs in Paris and discerning consumers, it would revitalize agriculture in his hometown of Sicily."

La Tête dans les Olives olive oil, born in 2008, became a sensation thanks to Cedric's dedication, and is now highly regarded among chefs worldwide. In 2016, he opened Cedric Casanova, named after himself, in Omotesando, Tokyo. And in March 2018, Cedric's single-variety olive oil, sourced exclusively from Sicilian producers, finally arrived at Isetan! Enjoy this precious limited-edition product.

Made with 100% Biancolilla olives harvested from Nicola Monteleone's vineyard, this olive oil offers a fresh aroma that fills the mouth, followed by a long-lasting, complex flavor.
