ISETAN BONDANCE, a more powerful version of the traditional Japanese summer festival, is back this year, with an ISETAN SHINJUKU twist! On July 8th (Sat) and 9th (Sun), under the theme of "Dancing! Glamorous Festival," the taiko drumming group Kodo and Hilcrhyme will liven things up with their performances. Enjoy this special summer festival in your yukata! Held on July 8th (Sat) and 9th (Sun), “Odoru! Tsuya Matsuri” is themed around a fashion-conscious “Tsuya” (glamorous) style while inheriting the culture of Japanese festivals. Kodo, a taiko drumming group based in Sado that finds infinite possibilities in traditional musical performing arts centered on taiko drums and attempts to recreate them for the modern age, and Hilcrhyme, a rap unit consisting of MC TOC and DJ KATSU, will deliver an exciting performance.

And supporting this new Japanese summer festival event, where ladies and gentlemen gather in adult yukata, is Y. & SONS, a men's kimono tailor that "embodies and brings together all of Yamato's know-how in men's kimonos," a company that has celebrated its 100th anniversary.

While focusing on an authentic lineup, Y&SONS offers a wide range of coordination options not seen in traditional kimono brands, incorporating Western clothing concepts into its styling with accessories such as hats, shoes, and bags, proposing a free and easy approach to fashion.

Until Tuesday, July 11th, the pop-up store at Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building 1F = Promotion area will feature a new yukata with a cotton and polyurethane outer fabric and a polyester functional lining, developed with the desire to encourage people to wear yukata more casually in active situations. Buttons have been added to the fastening area to prevent the obi from coming undone even when loosely tied, making it comfortable to wear for extended periods. Please come and see this new yukata.
