For suede and nubuck sneakers, change the brush and clean them.

The brushes in JASON MARKK Essential Kit use stiff synthetic bristles, but for delicate materials like suede and nubuck, use the premium brush made with soft natural pig bristles. Sneaker materials are constantly evolving, and this premium brush is also recommended for nylon mesh and popular knit materials. Using the right brush for the material is key to effective cleaning.

① For suede, first test a small, inconspicuous area with water to see if the color will bleed. If the color fades, we do not recommend cleaning.

② Just like with leather sneakers, thoroughly remove any dust from the surface by brushing and using a rubber eraser, remove the shoelaces, soak them in cleaner, rub them, and wring them out.

③ Fill a bowl of water with water of a suitable size and soak the brush in it to allow it to absorb the water. Apply an appropriate amount of cleaner (not enough to drip) to the brush, and then soak the cleaner-coated brush in water again. Since boar bristles absorb water easily, the key is to drain the water thoroughly.

④ As you brush the dirty areas, the fine, creamy foam lifts the dirt away.

⑤ Because suede has long fibers that allow dirt to penetrate deep into the fibers, press the microfiber towel against the surface, twisting the fibers firmly as if you are "absorbing" the dirt rather than simply wiping it away.

⑥ Twist the towel and remove the dirt, and the dullness will disappear. Once it's clean, let it air dry in the shade. Brushing the fur before it dries is also effective for tidying up the coat.
