Founder Mr. Kinouchi has been collecting vintage Aloha shirts for many years, and he based his designs on those from the 1930s to the 1950s from this collection.
The product uses 100% rayon material imported from Japan, called Fujiette Rayon, and all sewing is done in Hawaii, hence the "Made in Hawaii" label.
The history of the Aloha shirt began in the late 1920s when Japanese and Chinese immigrants to Hawaii brought kimono fabric (silk and cotton) from Japan, and tailors in downtown Hawaii made shirts from it. The production method, with the fabric from Japan and the sewing done in Hawaii, also recreates that era.
Please come to our store and experience the unique texture and feel of this Aloha shirt, which is different from anything you've seen before.
