This edition of "Adult Field Trip" is a live broadcast from the Spring/Summer 2026 preview event at Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building . The GUIDE crew, along with navigators Inaba and Kagami, will try on and review the must-have items recommended by the buyers. In this article, we'll share the styling points for "pants as the main focus" as shown by the navigators, as well as the outfits selected by crew members Tsuchiya, Okada, and Tashiro.

Crew-specific outfits
For Spring/Summer 2026, the key to styling is "pants taking center stage"!

Since spring and summer are seasons when you tend to take off your jacket more often, the material and silhouette of your pants become key to looking good. We'll suggest three recommended outfits, focusing on how to showcase your bottoms, such as a cropped denim jacket, dressy pants, or wide-leg slacks, and adding a casual touch with your footwear.

Tsuchiya: "I'll show off with classic high-waisted shoes."

For the tall Tsuchiya, we chose a combination of a cropped denim jacket and high-waisted wide-leg pants.
The outfit consists of a denim jacket from cantate and pants from MAATEE&SONS. Luxury running sneakers from the Italian factory brand HENDERSON complete the look, creating a relaxed feel by deliberately pairing wool pants with sneakers.

Inaba: This is a spring/summer style where pants take center stage. A classic combination of a cropped denim jacket and high-waisted wide-leg pants.

Tsuchiya: This is not an outfit I usually wear, especially these luxury sneakers, which are a first for me.


Kagami: I chose running sneakers from a dressy brand, not a sports brand. I deliberately paired sporty footwear with a dressy style to create a contrasting look.

Tsuchiya: The fit around the sole is great. It has a relaxed feel, but it also works well with wool pants for a nice, polished look. I absolutely love it, I want this!

Okada: "A black suit with a relaxed feel."

Inaba chose a set-up from the Japanese brand TOHNAI . It features a deep black dyed cotton twill fabric, and the pants have deep double pleats for a uniquely wide silhouette. Kagami paired it with sandals from the Japanese brand PETROSOLAUM. The outfit also includes a suggestion to play with socks, suggesting ways to wear them year-round.

Inaba: The outfit is put together from top to bottom in black cotton twill, and the wide silhouette is quite difficult to pull off, but Okada-san manages to wear it well.

Okada: These are the first baggy pants I've worn since I was a student, but they actually look surprisingly good on me. They have a relaxed, cool vibe.


Kagami: Since the outfit is simple, I added a little twist with the footwear. I hope you'll wear these sandals all year round, not just in the summer, but also paired with socks like colored hose.

Okada: That's true, it's fun to play around by letting your socks peek out. They're comfortable to wear, and the back strap at the heel prevents them from slipping off, which is reassuring.

Tashiro: "Create a sophisticated look with a shirt and slacks."

Tashiro chose MAATEE&SONS' classic trouser model "FOREVER SLACKS TYPE2" and paired it with a semi-wide shirt. The trousers are designed to be wide and have two pleats with flaps that fall straight down. For his feet, he chose Church's loafer model "Pembrey" with studs, a sophisticated choice that adds an accent to an elegant outfit.

Inaba: This is another style where the pants are the main focus. The shirt has hemp in it and is roomy, so even though it's tailored like a dress shirt, it looks casual and can be worn on its own.

Tashiro: The texture is great, and it gives off a sophisticated vibe!


Kagami: Since the top and bottom are elegantly coordinated, I added an accent to my feet with a model that has studs.

Tashiro: Adding studs to loafers gives them a punk vibe, but they come together nicely when paired with an elegant style. It's a style I wouldn't usually choose myself, but it's great to discover something new when someone else picks it for me.

Trying out this Spring/Summer 2026 collection, the GUIDE crew realized the joy of incorporating "things that aren't usually in their choices." Tsuchiya was captivated by the combination of luxurious running sneakers and wool trousers, Okada found the year-round wear suggestion of wide-legged pleated trousers and sandals refreshing, and Tashiro felt a sense of sophistication with the shirt and wide-legged slacks that bridged the gap between dressy and casual. Choosing a piece you wouldn't normally pick can lead to the discovery of a new style.
