With people spending more time at home these days, what you wear inside the house greatly affects your daily comfort. Merippa, the brand we're introducing today, is a room shoe brand created by Nakahashi Meriyasu, a knitwear factory in Sumida Ward, Tokyo. A pop-up event is currently being held at Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building , B1F, Underwear, Socks, and Nightwear from January 21st (Tue) to February 3rd (Wed).

ABOUT｜merippa

Merippa is a new type of indoor footwear that is as soft as socks and as easy to slip on as slippers. Made with the same materials as clothing, it offers a gentle feel, and its unique structure with a ribbed heel prevents it from slipping off, ensuring comfort. Another major feature is its reversible design, with different materials and patterns on the front and back. Simply flip them inside out to enjoy changing them to suit your mood or the season.

Nakahashi Knitwear, the company that created Merippa, was founded in 1951. It is a knitwear factory in Sumida Ward, Tokyo, that has been producing cut-and-sew products for domestic and international apparel brands for many years. The brand was born from the desire to make use of the high-quality fabrics produced during the OEM production process. "Something other than clothing that only a knitwear factory can make"—this idea led to the genre of indoor slippers. Even today, they continue to create products that utilize the factory's technology and sensibility, from fabric selection to color and pattern combinations and structural design.
