A collaboration born from fate and bonds has come to fruition. Kokuryu Sake Brewery, a leading sake producer in Fukui Prefecture, Japan, and eyewear brand MATSUDA shared their passion for craftsmanship and their commitment to Fukui, resonating with each other and reaffirming their respective philosophies. This collaboration was realized as a result of the combination of Fukui-made craftsmanship and a deep love for their hometown.
"KOKURYU x MATSUDA," eyewear embodying Japanese technology and passion, will be available for purchase at Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building 8th floor, Isetan Men's Residence, starting October 26th (Saturday).

Crafted from red acetate, the frame features the MATSUDA and Kokuryu Sake Brewery logos on the inside of the temples, and is adorned with a "Kakou" design inspired by the fact that Mr. Mizuno of Kokuryu Sake Brewery is celebrating his 60th birthday. It was then beautifully polished over time by the skilled craftsmen of Sabae.

These glasses feature MATSUDA 's signature bold, wide temples, and a specially created red fabric to evoke the image of a 60th birthday. The temple ends feature the logos of Kokuryu Sake Brewery and MATSUDA .

The silk on the inside of the left temple features the words "KOKURYU×MATSUDA" to represent the collaboration, while the inside of the right temple is adorned with the "Kakou" design to celebrate the 60th birthday of the 8th generation brewery owner, Mr. Mizuno.

The cylindrical case that holds the glasses allows you to either hang the glasses for display or stand the temples upright on the base for a three-dimensional viewing experience. The included accessories are a glasses pouch and a large cleaning cloth featuring a dragon design symbolizing good fortune.
