SARTO , a group of specialists in clothing remaking and repair, whose motto is "Good things last a long time," will be holding a remake fair at Made to Measure on the 5th floor Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building from Wednesday, April 10th to Tuesday, April 23rd.
During the exhibition, in addition to our "Remade Patchwork Jacket," an initiative to utilize used clothing and fabric samples as much as possible without discarding them, we will also be offering a new "Remade Patchwork Military Jacket."

Of the 787,000 tons of clothing waste generated annually, only about 19% is reused. SARTO , a member of the Japan Sustainable Fashion Alliance, and the Ministry of the Environment are working to promote the reuse of used fabrics and clothing.
This time, SARTO has prepared a menu that utilizes the freedom of bespoke tailoring, clothing alterations, and reliable tailoring techniques, while making the most of fabric samples and used clothing without discarding them.

The "Remake Patchwork Jacket" is made by creating patchwork using sample fabric pieces that are only a few centimeters square. The fabric is made from "fabric sample books" that would otherwise be discarded in large quantities, and it is also possible to use fabric brought in by the customer or cut-out pieces of their clothing as material.

The "Remake Patchwork Military Jacket" is made by creating patchwork using scraps of vintage jacket fabric. The scraps are taken from the repair process or from items in the secondhand market that are "unwearable as is due to stains, tears, etc."

SARTO stands apart from typical alterations with its trend-conscious finishes, enjoys strong support from fashion-conscious people nationwide. During the event, they will also be accepting their regular services, such as size and pattern adjustments to flatter the figure, as well as redesigns that reconstruct clothing, including remakes and customizations.
