Congratulations to Sato J. Press & Sons Aoyama on their 4th anniversary!

Tomoya Kurono (hereinafter, Kurono): Thank you. Today, I've prepared a blazer that I really wanted Mr. Sato to wear.

Tomoya Kurono, Buyer at J.PRESS & SON'S AOYAMA

Originally from Kobe, she spent four years as a student working part-time in sales at American casual select shops and GAP. After working in women's apparel and sports apparel, she returned to Onward, where she previously worked, in 2019. Currently, she works as a buyer at "J.PRESS & SON'S AOYAMA," a concept shop that conveys the appeal of American traditional style to the next generation, but she is also involved in a wide range of tasks including merchandise, production management, planning and development, and public relations.
He also runs an Instagram account called @blazer_snap .

Sato Blazers has a really great selection of styles.

Kurono: "I thought blazers should be more versatile" and "I wanted people to enjoy styling them more," and as a result, the number of styles increased steadily, and now we have 13 to 15 different blazer styles in the store.

This is the result of Ms. Kurono Sato and her team sensing the spirit of the times and creating variations in design, materials, and fit.

Kurono : Today, what I'd like Sato-san to wear is a double-breasted baggy-fit blazer. It retains the details of J.PRESS's classic blazer, but with a baggy fit achieved by increasing the size of the body and armholes. It debuted last fall, and we're very confident that it's turned out quite well this season.

A relaxing fit that's a refreshing change for those who only wear authentic styles.

Sato 's blazer has a beautiful silhouette with plenty of volume in the sleeves.

For a preppy look that pairs well with thick black hoodies, sweatshirts, or shaggy dog knits, this amount of room is necessary. This baggy fit has ample width and a wide armhole (the lower half of the armhole that covers the side), so the fabric drapes nicely even when layered.

Sato : I see. So you can enjoy a preppy style that's right on trend.

This black double-breasted jacket has four buttons, so it looks great even when worn open, and since it's made in collaboration with a Japanese factory, the stitching and other details are meticulous. Mr. Sato, please try it on.

What's cool is different for everyone. Those who want to incorporate a new traditional style should choose baggy pants.

Sato, could you tell us your favorite styling for this Buggy Fit?

While a chic black look with a navy tone-on-tone ensemble is lovely, adding a pop of color to create a slightly European feel, or pairing it with a soft-touch shirt, will give it an urban touch. Let's try some styling ideas.

Sato: I like the volume of the sleeves and the overall balance of this KANEMASA shirt. It goes well even when worn with a voluminous jacket, and the super high gauge typewriter fabric drapes nicely even when worn underneath.

Kurono : Now, let's drape this light orange knit over your shoulders. This knit from Yonetomi NEW BASIC is made with high-quality wool and features a tightly woven rib knit, adding a touch of seasonal style.

The orange accents really work well on Sato 's outfit. Kurono's outfit today is also fantastic.

Today, Kurono is wearing a basic outfit of loafers, slacks, and a blazer, but it's a little more relaxed overall. He's added a denim shirt and a fluorescent lime-colored cut-and-sew top to the V-zone, and he likes to play with accessories like a cap to add his own personal touch to an authentic look.

Ms. Kurono Sato's eye-catching use of color is inspiring.

Whether you pair black slacks with boots or add definition with your innerwear, a blazer can go with any style.

Sato: Next time, I'd like to try styling that uses color in a three-dimensional way, like Kurono-san does.

We want to expand the circle of people who love traditional style through "blazers"!

Kurono Sato shares her creative approach to fashion through blazers in her styling posts, "BLAZER SNAP."

Kurono BLAZER SNAP was started last August with the aim of showcasing how people are actually wearing blazers today, with the idea that "taking a lot of street style photos would be helpful for others."

How is Sato's reaction?

As Mr. Kurono and Mr. Sato know, traditional styles have a mysterious power to bring people together, and members of a Korean gentleman's club who saw BLAZER SNAP came to visit this shop.

Sato Trad has a club/circle-like vibe where everyone enjoys themselves as if wearing a uniform, so wearing a blazer creates a sense of unity and togetherness.

It's interesting to see young people who are new to blazers look at BLAZER SNAP, feel the potential of traditional style, and then see their own styling evolve.

I think Ms. Kurono Sato's work is wonderful, as it broadens the entry point to traditional fashion and enhances the possibilities of blazers.

Kurono Tsugi is planning a street style photoshoot in New York, so be sure to keep an eye out for him!
