Experience the culture of "custom-made" items for free!

Many people are interested in ordering a custom-made suit, but they may have concerns such as, "How much will it actually cost?", "I have no idea about the process or what the finished product will look like," or even, "The idea of ordering a custom-made suit at Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store sounds intimidating, and I can't just casually drop by."
For those of you who are wondering about anything, we offer a "Free Order Experience" where you can consult with our friendly staff about any questions or concerns you may have, and experience a fitting session.
You can feel free to contact us about ordering, even if you're not obligated to place an order.

Ordering process
1. Counseling
We will help you visualize a style that suits your intended use, as well as your individual personality and preferences.

2. Choosing fabric and pattern
Based on the image that emerges during the consultation, we will propose fabrics and models (patterns).

3. Measurement
We will take your measurements and simultaneously understand your body type and characteristics.
We also take your preferences regarding sizing into consideration and make fine adjustments accordingly.

4. Selection of buttons, lining, etc.
We offer a wide range of customization options (some options may incur additional charges) to help you create a truly unique garment just for you.

5. Fitting (approximately 3 weeks after the order date)
You will try on a pre-finished product called a "basted garment" to check the fit and size in detail and make adjustments. After the adjustments are made, the garment will be sewn in its final stages to complete the product.

6. Delivery (approximately 4 weeks after the fitting)
After the fitting is complete, the finished product will be delivered to you either by "in-store pickup" or "delivery."

Reasons why Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store's custom-made products are chosen: ① Outstanding proposal capabilities

The personal order salon at Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store boasts four bespoke brands and one of the top selections of fabrics in Japan.
Please enjoy the "tailored clothing" that is a gentleman's pastime at the Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store Personal Order Salon, which is said to be a mecca for bespoke tailoring.

[Brand Lineup]

Mitsukoshi Premium: Mitsukoshi Premium has cultivated a culture of "Mitsukoshi's bespoke tailoring," setting itself apart from other department store bespoke services. With a history spanning over 110 years, it is characterized by bespoke suits that are tailored to the customer's needs, passed down through generations by Mitsukoshi's exclusive cutters. Typically, tailors have a basic house style (British, Italian, or American), and the process usually begins with a certain degree of matching taste and preference. However, Mitsukoshi Premium can propose styles that are thoroughly tailored to the customer's needs. Sometimes they can create a classic British-style suit, sometimes a lighter Florentine-style suit, and sometimes even a collarless suit for women.

Henry Poole: A prestigious tailor renowned as "the oldest tailor on Savile Row in England," beloved by countless well-dressed gentlemen of yesteryear. Their rule-based garment making and meticulously calculated patterns are considered global standards. This is evident, for example, in their lapel width being half the shoulder width. Regardless of changing times, Henry Poole's tailoring remains timeless, representing the ultimate in menswear and an eternal standard. The style, cherished by so many well-dressed gentlemen of yesteryear, embodies the image of a dignified and refined man.

Rubinacci: The pinnacle of Italian tailoring. With its main store in Naples and branches in Milan and London, this prestigious tailor serves executives from around the world. It has brilliantly established a modern and light Neapolitan style, and its name is recognized worldwide, making it an exceptional presence even within Naples. Its silhouettes are beautifully shaped with broad shoulders and a sense of flow, and while composed of sharp straight lines, a unique roundness is expressed when viewed in areas such as the chest. The structured tailoring shows hints of the influence of Britain of the past, but it has been transformed into the Neapolitan style, giving it a unique and distinctive character.

Cifonelli: A prestigious Parisian tailor founded in 1880. Led by Lorenzo Cifonelli, the fourth generation of the family and head cutter, Cifonelli is known as a leading example of French style, influenced by both Italian and British styles, with a unique French flair. Cifonelli's tailored garments are characterized by concave shoulder lines and distinctive curves in the lapels and sleeves, creating a sharp, three-dimensional effect. This allows them to achieve a balanced and refined French style that only Cifonelli can create.
