The history of Panerai, a manufacturer of dive watches.

Panerai is a luxury watch brand with an iconic design that is instantly recognizable. Founded in Florence in 1860, it initially operated as both a watchmaking workshop/shop and a watchmaking school.

Panerai, which became synonymous with luxury watches in Florence, perfected the "Radiomir," which used luminous paint to improve visibility and later became one of the brand's signature collections. Recognized for its high level of technical skill, Panerai established its expertise in the category by supplying watches to the Italian Navy, among other things.

Luminor Chrono: 1,210,000 yen
Stainless steel case: 44mm diameter / approximately 42-hour power reserve / 10 ATM water resistance / automatic winding

Panerai watches, with their background in manufacturing timepieces for use in extreme environments, are popular not only for their high durability and water resistance, but also for their large, thick form factor.

The "Luminor Chrono" we're introducing today is, as its name suggests, a chronograph added to the "Luminor" collection. It features Panerai's distinctive cushion-shaped case and a lever-lock crown protector developed in-house to enhance water resistance in extreme environments.
The case features a crown protector on the right side and chronograph push buttons on the left, resulting in a well-balanced design. The distinctive sandwich dial includes two counters and a tachymeter, allowing for the calculation of average speed.

The Luminor Chrono collection consists of three models: one with a deep blue dial and a bracelet designed with a crown protector motif, and others with a clean-looking matte white dial and matte black leather straps. Although they have different appearances, all models feature the new chronograph Caliber P.9200.
While you might not often use professional-grade mechanisms like chronographs and tachymeters on a daily basis, the ability to not only display the time but also actively perform other functions can certainly enhance the desire to own such a timepiece.

A demonstration of movement assembly will be held for two days only.

In addition to introducing the new collection, there will be a live demonstration of movement assembly at the store on Saturday, April 23rd and Sunday, April 24th during the event.
The movement being demonstrated is the Caliber P.9100, an automatic chronograph movement with a flyback function, developed at the Panerai Manufacture in Neuchâtel, Switzerland. It is the first automatic chronograph movement developed in-house, and its 302 components embody Panerai's technical expertise.

Our stores showcase a variety of captivating timepieces, from the large, substantial watches of the "Luminor" collection to collections like the "Luminor Due," which retain Panerai's design codes but in a more compact case. We invite you to experience the allure of Panerai for yourself.
