"From the very beginning, the concept behind the ISETAN Shoe Fair was to be involved in every aspect of shoes. Not just introducing and selling shoes, but also repairing and caring for them, and even taking in shoes that customers are parting with and connecting them with new owners," says Sota Miyashita, men's shoe buyer at Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building .


That's how our collaboration with the vintage shop SAFARI in Koenji began at the ISETAN Shoe Fair in 2019. At the 2020 Shoe Fair, we also started buying shoes, and as a result of that, we've opened a permanent vintage shoe corner in the men's shoe department this year.

ALDEN 's cordovan models, collected over time, are now being brought out from storage.

Yusuke Tajima of Safari says he has gathered some of his best shoes for this shoe fair.
The comment, "We plan to sell more than 50 pairs of Alden cordovan shoes, which we have been gradually acquiring and stocking over time," has raised expectations.


"Unworn items are great, of course, but there's also something irresistible about the unique character that comes from being worn by the previous owner," says Tajima. They also plan to accept items for purchase on September 25th (Sat), September 26th (Sun), October 2nd (Sat), and October 3rd (Sun) during the event period, so if you're interested, why not come and talk to them?
