FUJITAKA that blends traditional Japanese craftsmanship with modern sensibilities to offer bags suited to contemporary lifestyles, will be presenting the "FUJITAKA meets" project from August 25th (Wed) to September 7th (Tue) at Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building B1F Bags section. In 2021, the year of the brand's 80th anniversary, they will unveil a new bag created in collaboration with Masataka Matsutoya.

The "FUJITAKA meets" project has been creating meticulously crafted bags through FUJITAKA 's handiwork and collaborations with various prominent figures. In this project, we are promoting Japanese culture through a new form born from the manufacturing process made possible by production at our own factory and collaborations with Japanese cultural figures.

In 2021, we collaborated with Masataka Matsutoya, one of Japan's leading composers and arrangers, on a project called "FUJITAKA meets MM." In response to Mr. Matsutoya's request to "store sheet music without folding it," we created a series of leather goods, including an A3 wide-size leather bag, shoulder bags, and other leather accessories.

Speaking of sheet music sizes, there's a niche size called A3 wide, which is slightly larger than A3. This time, we've luxuriously crafted an A3 wide bag, a size rarely found on the market, using Italian leather. Despite being A3 wide, the bag has a compact depth, giving it a clean and streamlined look, allowing you to smartly carry large sheet music and documents.

Furthermore, shoulder bags and leather accessories based on this model, designed for everyday use, will also be available. The color schemes selected by Ms. Matsutoya add to the enjoyment.

Additionally, during the event, a color order event for collaboration bags with Ms. Matsutoya will be held. You can choose your favorite combination from 45 colors for three different bag styles, allowing you to create a truly unique item just for you.

The promotion will also feature collaborative items that have appeared in previous "FUJITAKA meets" projects. You can see all the models, each filled with the unique touches of various cultural figures, including art director Kaoru Kasai, architect Toyo Ito, and photographer Koji Seo , all in one place.
