■Basic care for suede (napped leather)

For suede (napped leather), use items specifically designed for suede.
The procedure is the same as for caring for smooth leather. However, napped leather is more prone to staining than smooth leather, so be sure to clean it carefully.
■Basic care for suede (napped leather)
[Step 1] Remove dirt and dust with a brush
Thoroughly brush areas prone to dirt buildup, such as the collar, cuffs, pockets, and stitching, to remove dust and other debris. When brushing, avoid using brass wire brushes, as this can easily damage the material. Use a brush appropriate for the fabric.

[Step 2] Carefully remove the dirt with a cleaner.
For overall dirt, use the mist-type Boot Black "Suede Cleaner," and for localized stains, carefully remove them with the solid-type "Cleaning Bar White" or "Cleaning Bar Natural." As with smooth leather care, when using care items, test them on an inconspicuous area such as the inside of the jacket to ensure they don't cause stains before using them on the actual garment.
