A knit fair featuring JOHN SMEDLEY 's hidden gem, the "24-gauge" knitwear, will be held!

Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building 1F = Sweaters & Casual Shirts will be hosting a knit fair featuring JOHN SMEDLEY , a pioneering brand of high-gauge knitwear. From Wednesday, October 30th to Tuesday, November 12th, the fair will focus on the brand's signature 24-gauge and 30-gauge knits, showcasing a rich collection of knitwear, including models not usually available at Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building .


Founded in 1784, John Smedley offers high-quality knitwear by using premium raw materials and handling all aspects of production in-house. Their knitwear, made with extra-fine wool, the highest grade of merino wool, is remarkably soft and smooth to the touch, unlike any other wool product. Two types of knitwear, 24 gauge and 30 gauge, have become synonymous with the brand.



30 gauge "ORTA" - ¥34,100 each


The finely knitted 30-gauge fabric is a staple item that is offered every year at Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building . It features a dressy look that matches suit styles, and its comfortable fit makes it less likely to show through when worn under a suit, making it a highly popular series, especially among businessmen.



24 gauge "RIBER" - ¥33,000 each


Another option is the 24-gauge knit, which has a firm weave. It has a moderate thickness without being bulky and doesn't accentuate body lines, making it a versatile series that works well on its own or as an inner layer. This all-purpose knit suits not only suits and jackets but also casual outfits, and its high versatility has led to many repeat customers buying different colors every year.




24-gauge mufflers: ¥19,800 each

This fair will feature a limited-time lineup of 24-gauge sweaters, including turtlenecks, crewnecks, and cardigans, as well as scarves, which are not normally available at Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building . Furthermore, the first 30 customers who spend over 16,500 yen (including tax) at John Smedley during the event will receive a special gift: an original garment case with an embroidered logo.
