The Fov's grease used in this styling is based on the concept of "shareable cosmetics" that can be used by both men and women. Its texture, which creates a beautiful shine, and its perfume-like scent meet a wide range of styling needs.
Master these hairstyles by referencing the different looks of these three people!

1. Normal hair length. A common men's hairstyle, styled with grease for an intellectual look.

Model: Nakamichi Lately, my hair has been looking dry and lacks volume, so I usually lightly apply a moisturizing wax to it.

Although I have a lot of hair, the strands themselves are fine and lack body, so the key to styling is to wet my hair and thoroughly dry the roots with a hairdryer to create volume.

A common concern with hair styling is wanting more volume, but simply using a lot of styling products isn't the answer. To add volume to your hair, it's important to dry your wet hair with a hairdryer and create your desired shape at that stage.

Once your hair is dry and you've created some volume, take a small amount of grease (water-based pomade) in your hands. This time, I mixed in a little water to spread the grease.

"Lately, my hair has been growing out and I've been having trouble styling it, but I've learned that the impression can change depending on how you use styling products. I wasn't even blow-drying my hair before styling, and I wasn't applying styling products to the back of my head either, so I'd like to try incorporating a styling method that uses grease to add volume while maintaining shine." What if I want to keep it going for a whole day?
Once you've finished styling the rest of your hair, lightly set your bangs with hairspray. Using grease and hairspray together will help your style last longer.

2. Naturally curly hair. You can freely adjust the volume of your hair with grease!

Model: Takayama. I have a lot of hair, and it's naturally curly, so if I don't do anything, it gets frizzy and styling is a struggle. I usually set it with gel first, and then use pomade to finish it off.

If you have curly hair, before applying styling products, wet your hair and create the desired shape while drying it to help it stay in place.

If you want to make the most of your permed hair, the curls will be more defined when your hair is wet. So, first dry only the roots with a hairdryer, and then apply the grease when the ends are still slightly damp. In Takayama's case, she uses a coin-sized amount in two separate applications.

Take an appropriate amount of grease in your hand, mix in a small amount of water this time, spread it on your palms, and apply it by massaging it into the hair, starting from the back of your head where there is a lot of hair.

3. Use a grease that works well with permed hair to create an airy style.

Model: Shibuya. She usually showers in the morning and towel-dries her hair without using a hairdryer. She styles her wet hair using a combination of oil and balm.

Since the perm is done nicely, I only dry the bangs, which tend to get frizzy, and style the rest of my hair while it's still wet with grease, then finish by drying it with a hairdryer.

Hair that has been permed or colored tends to be dry, so it's recommended to use hair oil before styling.

Take two pumps of Fov's hair oil into your hands and massage it into your hair.

After applying grease to your hair, use a hairdryer to bring out the beautiful curls of your perm.

Use the lowest setting on your hairdryer, and dry your hair by lifting it up and directing the airflow inwards.

Ms. Shibuya's bangs are straight, so adding some movement to just her bangs with an iron at the end will make the overall style blend better.

"Usually, I could just apply styling product to my wet hair and it would take shape, so my morning hair styling was quick and easy, but I tended to do it my own way, so today was a really good experience. The grease is lighter than the balm I usually use. I've never been able to create an airy style on my own, so it's very refreshing." (Shibuya)

Q. Can grease be used as a substitute for wax?

Grease is appealing because it can give a shinier and wetter look compared to wax. Since it provides a wax-like finish with added shine, it's a good alternative to wax when you want to change the look of your hair.
However, soft-type greases tend to have weaker holding power, so it's recommended to use them in conjunction with a spray.

Q. Which is better for permed hair, grease or wax?

Grease blends well into the hair and doesn't harden easily, allowing you to adjust and maintain the movement of your perm. If you're looking for manageability and a glossy finish, try using grease.
The glossy and wet look is perfect for the curls and waves of a perm.

Q. What are the basic uses of grease?

- Wet your hair and towel dry it. - Spread grease on your palms and apply it evenly to your hair. - Style your hair.

Applying grease to slightly damp hair creates a glossy, wet-look hairstyle. Even when using a hairdryer, the key is to avoid completely drying your hair.
Mixing grease with wax is also recommended. For strong hold, use a 1:1 ratio; for shine, use a 2:1 ratio with more grease; and for more movement, try a 3:1 ratio of grease to a little wax.
