A small-batch, independent brand! Introducing the watches from Moritz Grossmann, a rising star in Glashütte!(1/2)

Until now, our carefully selected men's watches have been featured on the 8th floor of Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building . From February of this year, we have moved to the 4th floor of the main building, in the Jewelry & Watch section, creating an environment where you can view our more extensive lineup all in one place.

This time, from that extensive lineup of brands, we'll focus on Moritz Grossmann, a rising star from Germany, and explore its appeal.

Moritz Grossmann was a watchmaker who was active in the 19th century. He is remembered as a historical figure in the watchmaking industry in Glashütte, having played a key role in the establishment of the German Watchmaking School.
In 2008, Moritz Grossmann made a comeback, bearing his name after he had been buried in history, and producing a small number of items of extremely high quality.

Using "German silver," a material notoriously difficult to work with, the movements are adorned with intricate engraving and other decorations, and the hands are handcrafted and polished to the highest degree in the company's own workshop. These meticulously crafted timepieces are truly worth seeing.
