To my amazing friends who always get completely drunk even though I can't drink:


The 3,000 yen budget for gift exchanges is a challenge, with some people starting their search three months in advance, but it's also something to look forward to each year. Haven't you ever been surprised when a long-time friend gives you hand cream as a gift? When that happens to me, I think, "Is this the kind of relationship I have with this person?" (laughs). It's not that hand cream is bad, but if you see each other all the time, there should be hints in your conversations, so I want to somehow bridge the gap between us because I know their preferences and background (laughs). I'd use it and be happy to receive it, but since this is a friend I see all the time, I'll try to find something other than hand cream.

What I found in the underwear section on the first basement floor was a handkerchief with a band that read "AFTER 5". There's a message written on the back, and since everyone in our group who gets together for Christmas loves weekends so much that they say things like, "I wish it were the weekend forever!", the cute embroidery was perfect.

To go with it, I'll give them a Tritan crystal shot glass with a unique 10-degree tilt, which I found at the Isetan Men's Residence on the 8th floor. I'll also include a note saying, "If it looks straight, it's a sign you're drunk!" (laughs).

To my brother who is indifferent to his appearance and doesn't mind wearing sweatpants


My brother has a wife and two children, and is in the prime of his working life, so I chose pajamas for him, hoping he'll get a good night's rest, and a box calf money clip, hoping he'll support his family well and be poised in public (laughs).

I've noticed a significant improvement in the quality of my sleep since I started wearing pajamas. I don't know what my brother wears to bed, but I want him to relax while he sleeps, and wearing pajamas helps me wake up feeling refreshed, so I hope he'll wear them (laughs). Also, I think my brother was using a tattered wallet, so I'll give him a money clip to neatly store his money and cards as an extra gift.
