---First, could you tell us what inspires you to make hats?
In a broad sense, inspiration comes from everything I see, eat, feel, and experience—I expand my imagination from all of it. Each season, I choose a theme and create a narrative. Then, I transform those elements into decorative designs and forms.

---What do you find most enjoyable about hat making?
Of course, there's the enjoyment of the hat-making process and the satisfaction of seeing the finished product, but perhaps the most important thing is that "it can support a person's mood and feelings on any given day."
Unlike shoes or clothes, hats are items you can live without wearing, but I think they have a very significant impact on a person's mind and emotions, such as making them feel happier or giving them a more upright posture just by wearing them.
Therefore, there's nothing that makes me feel the joy and satisfaction of hat making more than when someone says, "Wearing this hat lifts my spirits!"

---Please tell us about your commitment and passion for manufacturing.
To deliver hats crafted with meticulous attention to detail, we meticulously adjust the form down to the millimeter during the pattern-making stage. We select materials and interlinings, varying the fabric texture to suit each design, adjusting even the smallest, unseen details as we proceed with production, envisioning the final level of perfection.

We are committed to "Made in Japan," using Japanese materials for the hat bodies that form the prototypes of our hats, and wooden molds made by exceptional wooden mold makers in the UK.
Skilled craftsmen steam the hat shells, then carefully place the hot, steamed material onto wooden molds one by one to create the shape. Each hat is meticulously crafted through a time-consuming and laborious process.

Furthermore, the look of a hat can change dramatically depending on the decorations attached to it, so even a basic-looking hat can be transformed into a unique and individual style simply by choosing the right decorations.
I think that freedom is one of the biggest appeals of hats, so I hope you'll enjoy the unique styles that express each season's theme.

Next, we aim to create hats that are tailored to each individual customer. A new challenge has begun!
