Combining the advantages of both tailoring and factory production.
Could you tell me about the characteristics of Yabe Principe di Eleganza?
Enrico: While the global fashion business is currently focused on total looks, Principe di Eleganza is a tailor that provides each customer with a garment that fits them perfectly, crafted with expert skill. In Italy, jacket factories and trouser factories are usually separate, but Principe di Eleganza produces everything in-house. They have gathered special craftsmen who have honed their skills at places like Attolini, Kiton, and Borrelli to create their garments, and they even have a tie department within the company.
Yabe: That's amazing. What kind of system do you use to make clothes?
Enrico's company has 40 employees. Of these, 26 are tailors, 6 are trouser makers, and the rest are tie makers and office staff. The tailors are skilled enough to "sew a whole garment" (one craftsman sewing an entire garment from start to finish), but they are placed on the production line based on their preferences and areas of expertise, after being interviewed. Furthermore, they take great care to ensure that the amount of ease in the sleeves is equal on both sides, assigning the left and right sleeve attachment to the craftsman based on their dominant hand.
This is ideal for Yabe Principe di Eleganza's goal of creating a "tailor-made production line" that combines the best aspects of both a tailor shop and a factory.

Yabe: I heard that this trunk show at Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building is the first of its kind in Japan.
Enrico is delighted to have been able to hold a trunk show at Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building global market leader. The stylists and other staff on the 4th floor are very professional, and I had a great experience talking to customers.
I hear that Enrico Yabe travels all over the world.
The Enrico Trunk Show is an opportunity for us, the creators, to directly touch and hand over the products to our customers, so we talk to them as much as possible about their preferences, sizes, designs, colors, etc. We are now actively holding these shows all over the world.

I think clothes are like a "second skin," becoming an extension of the body.
Please explain the Yabe jacket.
Personally , I believe that the fabric is the most important thing when it comes to clothing. I strive to create clothing that is comfortable to wear, bringing out the best in that fabric. I think of clothes as a "second skin," something that becomes a part of the body, and I aim to create garments that are so comfortable that you'll want to buy more.
Yabe: So, that requires highly skilled craftsmanship, right?
Enrico, that's right. Principe di Eleganza creates garments that fit each customer perfectly, all by hand, just like the tailors of yesteryear. It's like a company that has "processed traditional tailoring into a production line." Even the parts you can't see, like the inside of jackets and trousers, are meticulously handcrafted, delivering tailoring that can only be done in Naples.

The Yabe pants also have a nice handmade feel to them.
Thank you , Enrico . The trousers are made using traditional Neapolitan techniques, ensuring they are easy to wear, comfortable to walk in, and, like the jackets, fit the body "like a second skin." In addition to meticulous craftsmanship, we also add details such as slightly shifting the center crease to make the legs appear straighter. The more effort we put into it, the more comfortable the trousers become.
