Dads and Kids Cooking #02──"Enchanting Fruit Chirashi" A new face in the sushi world that will stimulate mom's girlish heart.

The secret to its deliciousness is "drinking vinegar" and "nuts"!

Isetan wanted to create a new kind of "family celebration meal." That's how this photogenic fruit chirashi sushi was born. At first, our editorial team was surprised, thinking, "Fruit with rice!?", but it turned out to be a surprisingly good combination. It's like a quinoa salad, and it's so delicious you'll want more.

It's easy to make! Simply marinate the fruit lightly with salt and place it on top of specially prepared vinegared rice mixed with an appropriate amount of "drinking vinegar." Orange vinegar (a) goes well with white rice, and pomegranate vinegar (b) goes well with brown rice. Adding nuts instead of white sesame seeds creates a vibrant aroma and greatly improves the texture. Combined with vitamin-rich fruit, it's sure to be a treat that supports mom's beauty.

Black vinegar and refreshing orange are a perfect match. This vinegar is also ideal for fruit-filled rice dishes. Combine it with whole-grain mustard for a delicious dressing.
