My Status—What to Choose Now? | A new surprise for that gourmet man in your life. A selection of slightly unusual items that will impress even adults.
This gin will surprise you twice.
Craft gin is booming worldwide. We'd like to introduce you to an Australian gin that's gaining attention for its small-batch production and commitment to quality. Its most striking feature is its blue color! Surprisingly, it's not artificial coloring, but rather extracted from butterfly pea flowers, which were originally used in Hindu cuisine. This gin, blended with 12 different botanicals, has a clear and mellow taste, and when mixed with tonic water or lemon juice... it changes to purple or pink, offering a double surprise! It's also highly recommended for cocktails.

We present you with 8,000 years of romance.
Georgia, the birthplace of wine culture, is currently attracting keen attention from natural wine enthusiasts. Here, whole grapes are placed in qvevri (large earthenware amphorae) buried underground, crushed with a paddle, and left to ferment naturally within the amphorae—this world's oldest winemaking method, practiced in this region for 8,000 years, has been registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage. The wine we are offering today is also made using this method. Its complex flavor, unlike conventionally handcrafted wines, is rich in umami and pairs well with Japanese cuisine. This limited-edition wine, considered the originator of the popular orange wine, is sure to satisfy even the most discerning wine connoisseurs.
Right: Vazianikishi Qvevri 2015 (Georgia-made/Orange wine/750ml) ¥3,780 ■ Grand Cave

Brewing sake with sake.
With its rich sweetness reminiscent of noble rot wine, you're sure to be surprised and exclaim, "Is this really sake!?" This luxurious sake is made using sake instead of water in the brewing process, and then brewed with even more sake. It has a smooth, velvety texture, yet retains the crispness characteristic of sake, making it a truly new kind of dessert sake.
