It takes the downy hair of about 10 young goats to make one sweater.

When we say "sustainable and traceable," it sounds like we're talking about food, but we're talking about cashmere harvested in northeastern Inner Mongolia, China. The Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region is suitable for raising goats due to the large temperature difference between summer and winter, and the large daily temperature fluctuations, making it a world-renowned producer of high-quality cashmere. Baby cashmere is made using only the undercoat from goats less than one year old, and only about 30-40g can be obtained from each goat. In terms of "fineness," which indicates the fineness of the yarn, ordinary cashmere sweaters have a fineness of about 14-16μ (microns), but Picea uses the finest cashmere yarn, with a fineness of 13.5-14.6μ (microns).

Baby cashmere is a gift from nature, but Inner Mongolia is suffering from desertification and grassland degradation due to global warming. The amount of grass that goats can eat is decreasing, and traditional livestock farming is also declining. Locally, tree-planting activities are being carried out to ensure the sustainable use of the grasslands, which are the stage for their livelihoods, and the name of the tree being planted has become the brand name, "PICEA."

The cashmere used by Picea comes from a renowned spinning company that has a factory capable of handling everything from wool processing and spinning to knitting on-site. Under strict control, they have achieved traceability that allows you to trace the product back to the raw wool. The brand name Picea was chosen as a symbol of sustainable activities such as tree planting, and thanks to its traceability and unique quality control, it has also achieved the highest grade of cashmere.

The first collection, made from cashmere using only raw fibers carefully cut by hand with scissors rather than electric clippers, comes in two styles: a turtleneck and a cable crewneck. In particular, the luxurious, thick cable knit is a rare item on the market, and you will be able to fully appreciate the lightness, fineness, softness, unique smoothness, and gentle feel that only baby cashmere can offer.

Although Picea is currently unknown, the response has been excellent. Some customers have noticed it in stores, touched the material, and said, "This cashmere is amazing," before purchasing it. Please enjoy the wonderful feel of this cashmere, which can be said to be a blessing from young goats carefully raised in magnificent nature, this autumn and winter.
