Yabe: What are your impressions of Japanese customers?
Luca Japan's customers are very meticulous. They check even the smallest details, and that's what gives me satisfaction. Their strict checking means they appreciate my work.
Yabe, what's it like working with Isetan Men's?
Luca Pret-a-Porter also collaborates with buyers on design. This is our first order event on the newly renovated 5th floor, and it's really enjoyable being here. We also received some new orders this time.
How many staff members are there at Yabe Workshop?
Luca currently has 15 members, divided into three groups of five. Of the 15, four are young artisans.
What is the reason for dividing Yabe into three groups?
This is to maintain high Luca quality and to prevent mistakes through quality control. I don't consider a workshop with 70 people to be a sartorial house; what's made there is mass-produced industrial goods.

Buyer Yuki Yamaura talks about Luca Gracia's enthusiasm

I first met Luca in Naples last June, and he showed me around, including his workshop. Luca is young, passionate, and a craftsman who looks straight at his work and delves deep into it. He's also aware of the urgency of the situation in Naples, where there are no longer any young tailors, and he says he's "the last generation." He's also taken on the ready-to-wear line for the first time, and he's thought about it very seriously, and I'm drawn to his personality. For Isetan Men's, he's "one of the new partners we want to grow with." It's a brand we have high expectations for.
