Currently, in American professional baseball leagues, the number "42," previously worn by Jackie Robinson, has been retired by all teams.
Furthermore, in recognition of his great achievements, April 15th, the anniversary of his death, has been designated "Jackie Robinson Day," and on this day only, all players wear jerseys with the number "42" on them.
