Stefan Kudoke is an independent watchmaker based in Dresden who is dedicated to creating original timepieces. With the skills to design and adjust complex timepieces, he has created his own brand, Kudoke, which combines skeletonization and engraving, resulting in timepieces that are not only watches but also works of art.
Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building 8th floor = Men's Watches will be holding a Kudoke initial order fair starting March 1st (Wednesday).

Kudoke's defining features are his skeleton designs and metalwork. For the skeleton designs, Mr. Kudoke himself handles everything from the design sketches to cutting out the base movement with a manual jeweler's saw, polishing the parts, and applying plating to enhance the expression of his work. By performing almost all the necessary tasks for watchmaking by himself, he creates original pieces that match his vision.

Another distinctive feature of Kudoke's work is the extremely beautiful finish achieved through hand-engraving in the metalwork.
Most skeleton watches with decorated movements are often carved using power tools such as rotary tools. However, the engraving he uses to decorate the movements is all done by hand using a special chisel called a "burin."
Hand-engraving allows for deeper and sharper cuts in the metal compared to power tools, resulting in a beautiful finish that changes appearance depending on the viewing angle.

Currently, the Dresden workshop is run by Kudoke himself and a female watchmaker who handles the assembly, with his hands involved in every single watch. Because a large portion of the work, such as skeletonization and engraving, is done by hand, some models take two to three months to complete, resulting in a very limited annual production of only about 100 watches.

The initial "K" of Kudoke is designed on the dial. We have commissioned Mr. Kudoke himself to design this part, and we will create a one-of-a-kind watch for you with your favorite letter. Normally there is an order fee, but this time it will be included in the price of the watch itself. Please take this opportunity to choose a special timepiece.
