2017 has already begun, and a month has flown by! Today is Setsubun (the bean-throwing festival), and speaking of big events in February, it's Valentine's Day!
CHALIE receives an overwhelming amount of chocolate from women every year, but it seems she also prepares small gifts for her male friends, not just for the women, to express her gratitude for everything he does for her.


Gibert's Venetian glass is one of my absolute favorite brands, and I think any fan of my gallery has seen it before.
February is the month of "Salon du Chocolat," one of Isetan's most popular events, and at my gallery, I'm planning to propose a new pairing of Gibert, sake, and chocolate.

The curator for this event is Seiko Lulubel. She may not be well-known to the general public, but she's a very famous figure in the fashion world, working between Italy and Japan.

Fukugen Sake Brewery "Fukumimi" Junmai Ginjo: 3,240 yen

Moreover, he wanted to introduce the style of enjoying chocolate with sake, so he selected "Fukumimi Junmai Ginjo" from Fukugen Sake Brewery in Azumino, Shinshu. This sake is a junmai sake with a rich, deep flavor.
Apparently, CHALIE likes to pour this liquor into a slightly chilled "Fukumimi" glass, either the "Giberto Coupe" or "Giberto Trippano," which are Venetian glassware pieces with a slightly smaller opening, and enjoy the pairing with the luxurious bonbons over time.

The pairing of chocolate and sake is a fresh and unique style, but to think they even pay attention to the glasses... CHALIE is truly impressive.
