To celebrate its 50th anniversary, BOTTEGA VENETA opened the event "THE HANDS OF BOTTEGA VENETA" on Wednesday, November 9th, Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building 1st floor promotion area.
This event brings together a Japan-exclusive capsule collection showcasing unparalleled craftsmanship. Here, Creative Director Tomas Maier, celebrating his 15th anniversary in the position, has specially designed items for Japan. These include models based on the brand's signature Intrecciato leather, adorned with various refined craftsmanship techniques, as well as models using washed leather to enhance its texture. Intrecciato weave combined with studs creates expressive geometric patterns.

The rich texture created by studs of varying sizes and the carefully applied, diverse parts give the entire bag a three-dimensional visual effect. The top of the document case incorporates intrecciato parts, combined with an irregular multi-dot pattern, blending seamlessly with the smooth leather parts. Inside, there is a padded space for storing high-tech devices and a flat pocket. The calf leather is finished with a washed process to give it a vintage look, and the dark sergeant base color is accented with studs for added nuance.

Additionally, the handle connection points of the tote bag are dyed black by skilled craftsmen, and sparkling metal parts create shading. Inside the bag, there is a zippered pocket on the back and a flat pocket on the front.

Layered stitches that evoke the image of shadows

The two-tone color-block design is intricately woven with masterful craftsmanship and then adorned with graphic embroidery. The tote bag (document case) features intrecciato weaving in the center, while smooth leather is used on both sides, highlighting its sleek beauty.
