A sneaker fair by MARC JACOBS, featuring their latest collection inspired by Andy Warhol, a leading figure and unconventional artist of pop art who was active from the 1960s to the 1970s, and Lou Reed, the vocalist of the American rock band THE VELVET UNDERGROUND & NICO, whom Warhol admired and produced the debut album of, will be held from Wednesday, October 12th to Tuesday, October 18th at Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building B1F, Men's Shoes.

"NY connections" that stimulate the creative mind

Designer Marc Jacobs was born in New York City in 1963. While attending Parsons School of Design, a private comprehensive art and design university specializing in fashion and art, he boasted an impressive list of awards, including the annual Best Design Student Award and numerous other awards given to top students at the school.
Andy Warhol and Marc Jacobs have a "New York connection," as evidenced by Marc Jacobs' release of tote bags and T-shirts featuring a bold print of the cover of Interview Magazine commemorating Warhol's 80th birthday. It seems Warhol is a figure who inspires Marc Jacobs' creative mind.

At this fair at Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building , they will be releasing the "Nylon Runner Jogger Shoes," a modern update of classic, retro sports sneakers. Featuring a "LIGHTNING BOLT" as a focal point, the shoes exude a vintage mood with an exquisite mix of materials and colors, and the "J MARC" logo on the heel is a detail that fans will love.

A fresh take on 70s styling in the 2016-17 Fall/Winter men's collection.

This season's Marc Jacobs men's collection blends 1970s styling, characterized by military, floral, print and pattern, stripe, and piping details, with the New York sports style that is part of Marc Jacobs' DNA.

The collection centers around a vintage look with a "70s silhouette," combining cropped tops with cropped pants or flared bottoms. A new logo, the "JJ" logo, modeled after the "J" in Marc Jacobs' name, is being introduced this season. Pay close attention to the details, such as military patches featuring Marc's lucky number "9," buttons, piping, studs, sequins, and embroidery.
