What is the "personal theory on suits" of the young manufacturing company president who considers himself a fashion enthusiast?

—What does "suit" mean to you, Mr. Yoshikawa?

Yoshikawa: I've always loved clothes, I'm what you'd call an American casual generation guy. I wear suits as an extension of that sensibility. And they're my tools of the trade. This is just my opinion, but I think that even in Cool Biz, wearing a tie and a proper suit is a way of showing respect to others.

--I see. Are there any rules regarding wearing a suit?

Yoshikawa wears a suit as part of his job, so he keeps his suits understated, his shirts always white, he always wears a tie, and his shoes are black. He never takes off his jacket during business dinners. He believes that suits are a matter of manners and represent social standing. Rubinacci recommended a striped fabric to him, but he thinks that "people who look good in understated suits are cool." Mogi looks good in flashy suits though (laughs).
