—Could you tell us what prompted you to order from RUBINACCI this time?

I've known stylist Yoshikawa- san, Mogi-san, for a long time, and when I happened to go to see him, he told me, "The god of Naples is at Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building right now." So I went to see the trunk show and wanted to place an order, but I consulted with Mogi-san, saying that if I was going to have something made, it should be something "special" that I could wear to the company's 70th-anniversary ceremony, which is two years away.
Mr. Yoshikawa Mogi had long been a fan of Yoshio Okamoto's MIGLIORE suits, and he loved suits tailored in Naples, Italy. So I recommended RUBINACCI 's pattern order service, but when it came time to place the order, he had many requests that couldn't be accommodated with the easy order service, so we decided to go with a special full bespoke suit.
Yoshikawa: It's much less common now, but more than 10 years ago, evening entertaining was often done in private rooms, and since you had to sit on your knees, I used to avoid buying expensive suits (laughs).
Mogi: For this order from Mr. Yoshikawa, the focus was on creating a garment that could be worn comfortably and relaxed, so a key feature of the jacket is its lightweight construction, without any padding or interlining.
