[Conversation] Katsuya Yoshikawa (Representative of Manufacturing Company) x Hiroshi Mogi (Onward Kashiyama) | Bespoke RUBINACCI - The Man Who Wears the World's Only Bespoke "Rubinacci Special"(1/5)
According to him, "I love handmade items, I'm a fashion enthusiast"—the person featured this time is Katsuya Yoshikawa, a 43-year-old born in 1973, who is the representative director of a manufacturing company with approximately 300 employees. Yoshikawa says he has been with Isetan Men's for "about 13 years, since it became Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building " Last April, at the trunk show of RUBINACCI , a prestigious Italian tailor, held on the 5th floor Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building = Made to Measure ( http://www.imn.jp/post/108057195217 ), he chose a "full bespoke" suit, which was not originally on the menu. After a fitting, the suit was finally delivered in the presence of Hiroshi Mogi of Onward Kashiyama, the stylist in charge of Made to Measure on the 5th floor Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building . We covered the moment he put it on for the first time.

Mariano Rubinacci's masterpiece "Su Misura" is complete!
The visibly supple and soft fabric, the subtle appeal of the hand stitching visible throughout, such as on the shoulders and lapels, the playful touch of the outer pockets, and the beautiful balance of the entire garment—this three-piece suit, personally selected, measured, and tailored for Mr. Yoshikawa by Mariano Rubinacci, the second-generation head of RUBINACCI , is truly one of the pinnacles of bespoke tailoring. This time, the title is "The Joys of Made-to-Measure—Having RUBINACCI Suit Made for You."

—What are your first impressions after actually trying it on?
Katsuya Yoshikawa: It's very lightweight and comfortable, yet it looks sharp. Rubinacci-san selected the fabric for me, and initially chose a strong striped pattern. But when I told him that "flashy stripes aren't suitable for work," he went with this textured fabric. When I asked why, he replied, "I chose a fabric that gives the impression of being hand-stitched." The wine-colored lining looks nice even when you take it off.
—What was your impression of Mr. Rubinac?
Yoshikawa: Because of my job, I often have opportunities to interact with older people, but Mr. Rubinacci had a unique aura, a gentle demeanor, and gave me the impression of being a very generous person.
