Knowing which colors suit you eliminates indecision and makes it easier to try colors you've never worn before. Furthermore, wearing colors that suit you to important meetings or occasions where you're meeting people can improve your impression. Therefore, in this article, Sekikawa, a male floor attendant with a color analyst qualification, will introduce the personal color analysis offered at Isetan.

▶What is a personal color analysis?

We will analyze your skin, eye, and hair color and shine to determine the group of colors that suit you best.
The group is divided into four subgroups: Delight, Sophisticated, Harvest, and Permanent, and everyone belongs to one of these subgroups.

▶Here's how the personal color analysis process works.

■Step 1
We'll hold colored drapes close to your face and observe how each color changes how your complexion looks. Colors that suit you will give you a healthy glow and brighter eyes, creating a vibrant and positive impression. Conversely, colors that don't suit you will make your complexion look dull and make skin problems more noticeable, resulting in an unhealthy and gloomy appearance.
There are several types of colors, but even within the same color palette, they are divided into the personal color groups mentioned above. For example, red can be categorized into Delight Red, Sophisticated Red, Harvest Red, and Permanent Red. This means that even if you think red doesn't suit you, there is definitely a shade of red that does.


■Step 2
Once your personal color group is determined, we will introduce you to the colors within that group. For example, if your group is Delight, we will explain the basic and accent colors that belong to Delight and suggest ways to combine them. This process takes approximately 30 to 40 minutes.


We also offer color coordination suggestions to those who wish, using colors that suit them best. Seeing and trying on the actual items will help you visualize how they will look.
Your determined personal color group may include some unexpected colors you've never chosen before. This winter, why not try a new color for your scarf? Or your coat?
