08.05 Wed -08.11 Tue
Isetan Shinjuku Men's Building 1F Promotion

A limited-time pop-up shop specializing in yukata, which are not usually available at Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building will be opening!
A limited-time shop offering a wide variety of yukata, from traditional to fashionable styles, has opened on the 1st floor Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building . We propose new yukata styling that goes beyond the traditional idea of yukata as just Japanese clothing.

This time, we're featuring yukata from three leading brands in the Japanese traditional clothing industry. Fushouan, established in 1977, overturned the conventional wisdom that obi and kimono were made by separate manufacturers, becoming the first brand in the industry to express total coordination styling using ready-made kimonos. It proposes that "the wearer is the star" and has won the Mainichi Fashion Grand Prize Special Award and the Textile Grand Prize. Tutaee is a brand that proposes innovative yukata designs while using the traditional Chusen dyeing technique. The brand name comes from "conveying Japanese traditional culture with a unique interpretation," and not only are the patterns designed, but the obi that goes with them, such as rope heko obi, are also unique to this creator brand, offering a lineup of modern yukata unlike anything seen before. Shi bun no San is a brand established in 1948 and proposed by Noguchi Senpo, a kimono and textile company in Sapporo, Hokkaido. Working on manufacturing with the concept of "bridging the distance that has become created between Japanese people and kimonos," this year they are offering denim styles that combine textured linen and cotton. We will introduce a diverse lineup including tie-dyed obi.
Additionally, Mr. Takehiro Yoshihara of Tutaee and Mr. Shigetaro Noguchi of Shi Bun no San will provide yukata styling advice tailored to each customer's preferences.
